Saffron Lane is a modest-fashion boutique in Dubai with two ateliers, in Jumeirah and Al Barsha. We stock abayas in five lengths, kaftans, jalabiyas, occasion dresses, shaylas and oud fragrance, and we hem, alter and style in store, because a piece is only right when it fits the woman wearing it.
A note on this site: Saffron Lane is a demonstration store running on SmartPOS Hub. Orders placed here are not fulfilled and no payment is taken for real goods.
Why fit comes first
Most abaya shopping starts with one question: will the length be right. We answer it before you ask. Every abaya we carry is stocked in lengths 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60 inches, measured from the top of the shoulder to the hem, so you can choose by your height rather than settle for a one-length cut.
If you fall between two lengths, take the longer one. Our tailors hem it in store, usually in 2–3 days. Sleeves can be shortened, and for anyone under 150 cm or over 178 cm, our Jumeirah atelier offers made-to-measure fittings. The size guide has the full length chart and how to measure.
Fabric chosen for UAE heat
Dubai asks a lot of fabric. Summer days are long and humid; evenings move between the street, the car and cold air-conditioned malls. We choose fabrics with that in mind and name them plainly on every product page:
- Crepe and nida for everyday abayas that drape well, resist creasing and breathe.
- Linen and cotton for kaftans, co-ords and relaxed separates that stay cool.
- Chiffon, crinkle and modal jersey for shaylas and hijabs, each with a different hold and weight.
- Organza, satin and lace for occasion abayas and evening dresses, used where they make sense rather than everywhere.
When you are unsure, ask. A stylist can tell you how a fabric behaves in August, not just how it looks on a hanger.
Personal service, in person and online
We are a small team of stylists and tailors across our two stores. In Jumeirah, the private styling suite hosts 60-minute styling sessions, Eid wardrobe consultations, bridal party fittings and made-to-measure abaya fittings. You can request an appointment on our styling page and we confirm by phone or WhatsApp within one working day.
Online, we try to give the same answers you would get across the counter: per-store stock on product pages, honest delivery timings, and a clear exchanges policy.

| Noor Atelier | Classic nida and occasion abayas with pearl trim and lace |
| Dune & Pearl | Relaxed linen, denim and cotton in sand, olive and sea tones |
| Maison Rimal | Evening wear with hand embroidery, organza and satin |
| Kaia | Bags and jewellery chosen to finish an abaya |
| Oud Al Layl | Oud, rose and musk perfume, mukhallat oil and bakhoor |
What we will not do
We do not invent reviews, run fake countdowns or push “last one” messages. Prices, stock and service fees on this site come straight from our point-of-sale system, so what you see online matches what our stores see.
